Questions ♡

Pomodoro widget for Notion — FAQ

How do I add this pomodoro timer to Notion?

Copy the embed link above, open the Notion page where you want the timer, type /embed, paste the link, and click "Embed link". Drag the block handles to resize it — that is all it takes.

Is the Notion pomodoro widget free?

Yes. The cute timer widget is completely free, has no sign-up, and no account. Everything you set is stored only in your own browser.

Why is my Notion embed showing a blank box?

This usually happens when a site blocks embedding with an X-Frame-Options or frame-ancestors header. This widget does not send any framing restrictions, so it loads inside Notion. If you still see a blank box, try pasting the URL again and choosing "Embed link" instead of "Create bookmark".

Can I change how long the pomodoro lasts in the embed?

Yes. Add ?minutes=45 to the embed URL (or use the generator above) to set the focus length, and ?mode=short or ?mode=long to start on a break. Use ?auto=1 to auto-start the timer, and ?theme=light or ?theme=dark to lock a theme.

Does the widget save my settings?

The widget reads your saved settings from your browser. URL parameters always take priority, so each Notion embed can have its own minutes, mode, and theme without affecting the main site.

Can I use the pomodoro widget outside Notion?

Yes. The embed link works anywhere that supports iframes — Notion, Obsidian, websites, dashboards, or as a plain browser tab. You can also just use it directly as a cute pomodoro timer.

How do I embed the timer on my own website?

Copy the website embed code above and paste it into your page's HTML editor. It works in WordPress, Wix, Ghost, Squarespace, GitHub Pages, and any site that allows iframes. Resize it by editing the height in the snippet — 560px is the default.

Can I embed the timer in WordPress?

Yes. On the block editor, add a "Custom HTML" block and paste the website embed code. In the classic editor, switch to the Text tab and paste it anywhere. The widget shows the timer only, with no banners or links, so it blends into your layout.
